I have a recipe that calls for tomato bisque soup, can i use regular tomato soup instead?

i cant seem to find tomato bisque soup anywhere out here in az, so can i substitute regular tomato soup for it?

i'm making a shepards pie and you brown hamburger and add the tomatoe bisque soup to it.

what is the difference between the two anyway???I have a recipe that calls for tomato bisque soup, can i use regular tomato soup instead?
Just add regular tomato soup and a little milk. Most canned tomato bisque soup is just regular tomato soup with some tomato bits in it to make it thicker. In shepherd's pie you won't be able to tell the difference. Some recipes use catsup!I have a recipe that calls for tomato bisque soup, can i use regular tomato soup instead?
the bisque has cream in it

just add a little milk to your regular tomato soup, and it should be fine
Bisque is a seafood soup, the name comes from Bay of Biscay, off the Iberian peninsular. Tomato bisque is a Portuguese variation, adding tomatoes and is much spicier than the French version.
