Anyone have a good recipe for making homemade cream of mushroom soup?

I'm looking for a really creamy and rich recipe--the ones I have found tend to be more broth-based.Anyone have a good recipe for making homemade cream of mushroom soup?

3 (4 ounce) cans sliced mushrooms, drained


1 tablespoon margarine


3 cups chicken broth


2 tablespoons onions, chopped


salt and pepper, to taste


2 tablespoons all-purpose flour


1 cup sour cream


1 cup half-and-half cream or milk





In skillet, saute sliced mushrooms in butter; place in Crock Pot.


Add chicken broth, onion, salt, and pepper; stir well.


Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 10 hours (on high setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours).


About 30 minutes before serving, turn to high setting.


Mix flour and sour cream; add to Crock Pot with half and half cream.

and found it quite rich and creamy; I think the whipping cream is key. Along with the hefty dose of mushrooms, and the pur茅eing of same -- but I only pur茅ed about half of it, which, I thought, made for a nicer soup.
campbells's cream of mushroom with seasoning of ur choice (i don't dilute mine all the way)..add fresh parley, chopped mushrooms (i sautee mine 1st)...5 min later..hot fresh cream of mushroom
its kinda of simple but here goes, Sautee about three cups of your favorite mushroom with some onions for a little extra flavor, When the onions and translucent and the mushrooms and soft then add some extra butter aafter it melts add about a half cup of flour to the pan, your making a roue. Still the mixture until the flour is a golden brown color. Slowly add in about two to three cups of beef broth until all lumps are gone, you will need a wisk to get this achieved. Let that come to a simmer, once ther add whole cream to the pot about two cups more if you want thicker less if thinner. Bring back to a boil and let simmer for about thirty mins check often and stir. Should provide a good creamy soup, for more flavor add garlic, salt, peper, or any of your favorite herbs while cooking.
