Does anyone know a good recipe for 'Sambar soup'?

It's an Eastern Indian soup that is so delicious. Looking for an easy recipe.Does anyone know a good recipe for 'Sambar soup'?
Thuvar dhal - 200 gms.





Water - 2 cups.





Tamarind - 1 lemon sized ball





Salt - 2 tsps.





Sambar powder - 3 tsps.





Onion - 100 gms.





Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp.





PROCEDURE





Step 1:First of all chop the onion into small pieces





Step 2:Immerse the dhal in 1 cup of water,add tumeric powder to it and cook in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes.





Step 3:Now,soak the tamarind in hot water (1 cup) for 1/2 an hour.





Step 4:Then ,dissolve the tamarind in the water and filter the residue like mud,seeds etc.





Step 5:Add 2 cups of water to the filtered tamarind water and mix well.





Step 6:Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds until they sputter.





Step 7:Then add the chop onions into the same pan and fry for 5 minutes.





Step 8:Add this mixture to the tamarind water and add salt ,sambar powder and mix well.





Step 9:Boil this mixture for 20 minutes.





Step 10:Then add the cooked dhal into it and boil for 10 minutes.





Step 11:Serve hot with plain rice.





NOTE:





*Please use the ingredients in the above mentioned quantity only.





*Boil the tamarind water with other contents on high flame.





*Refer to the recipe for Sambar powder preparation.

Ingredients:





2 Cup Tuvar Dal


3 Red chilles


3 Green Chilles


1/4 tsp. Methi


1 tsp. Sambhar powder


Curry leaves a few


Hing a small pinch


Salt 1 tsp. Salt (or to taste)


Cooking Oil


2 tsp Mustard


1/2 tsp Turmeric


1/4 tsp. Tamarind paste


2 tsp. Vgetables( Drumstick,Green Pepper,Eggplant,Okra)


Washed and diced





Method:


Cook Thuvar dhall and turmeric with extra water and separate the two, and keep them aside.


Cook the vegetables in thuvar dhall water, and add turmeric and salt to this.


After this is cooked, add tamarind paste.


Heat some oil in a pan, splutter mustard, then add methi, red chillies, green chillies, curry leaves, hing, turmeric, and sambhar powder and keep frying for a few minutes.


Add this to the boiling vegetables.


Add the thuvar dhall and let it cook for a few more minutes.
